At The Boulevard Race, the safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators is our top priority. Please review the following race safety guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
General Safety Rules
- Follow all official race instructions provided by event staff, volunteers, and law enforcement.
- Stay on the designated course and follow all directional signs and markings.
- Be aware of your surroundings and respect other participants by avoiding sudden stops or changes in direction.
- No unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, or pets are allowed on the course.
Medical Support
- Medical personnel will be stationed at Aid Stations on the course and at the start/finish line.
- If you feel unwell or require medical assistance, please move to the side of the course and notify a race official or volunteer immediately.
- Hydration stations will be available along the course—make sure to stay hydrated!
Weather Conditions
- The race will proceed rain or shine. However, in the event of extreme weather (lightning, severe storms, extreme heat), race officials may delay, modify, or cancel the event for safety reasons.
- Dress appropriately for the weather and use sunscreen if necessary.
Traffic and Road Safety
- The racecourse is closed to all road traffic. Stay within designated areas and follow any law enforcement or race marshal instructions.
Headphone and Earbud Use
- While listening to music is permitted, we strongly encourage participants to keep the volume low or use only one earbud to remain aware of their surroundings.
Emergency Procedures
- In case of an emergency, call 911 and notify the nearest race official or volunteer.
- If you witness another participant in distress, alert medical personnel or a race official immediately.
